He responded well to racing in cheekpieces that day and, having been placed over this trip on turf, the drop in distance is only a slight worry.

HARBOUR STORM is worth chancing at this level after posting a couple of encouraging efforts over this trip since returning from a short break. He's won on Tapeta before now and, having dropped to a very lenient handicap mark, there is a strong possibility he can have a big impact in this company. Crystal Dawn is the only one with any recent winning form and has to be respected given that she wasn't beaten far over C&D last week. Ower Starlight is currently a 14-race maiden but wouldn't need to find much to positively alter that statistic.

Brazen Diamond is the obvious starting point as she's still unexposed and has adapted well to racing on a Tapeta surface. However, the cracks started to show in her last couple of races and being nudged up 2lb after finishing second over C&D 18 days ago does her no favours. Therefore, it can pay to side with SUMMER SECRETS, who appeals as a likely candidate capable for causing a minor upset. The gelding has run his best races when tried at this trip and the quick reappearance after a respectable effort over C&D last Monday is taken as a significant hint that all is well. Wrath Of Hector shouldn't be underestimated either.

First-time cheekpieces could spark improvement into MANHATTANVILLE, who retains the mark off which he finished a good third over this C&D earlier this month. Smeaton's Light completes the shortlist.

Genesius is another who merits consideration.
