Given the promise AUTONOMOUS CLOUD showed over hurdles and that anything he achieved was going to be a bonus he has to be of serious interest now going chasing. He ran his best race to date when last seen over timber at Chepstow, running on well but just lacking the pace of the two in front. He is built to jump a fence and I’m expecting him to come into his own now. He obviously lacks experience so it is a bit of a chance I’m taking that he is effective at the first time of asking but at 6/1 in a race like this I do think he represents the value in the field. Easkey Lad made his mark over fences at Uttoxeter last time and has to be respected off the back of that but a 9lb rise seems harsh. Sam Barton stays well and is another one likely to be in the firing line for a long way. Judge Earle has made it a profitable summer for connections but that last effort suggests his in-form run has come to an end.
