In a race where there are more questions than answers it may be safest to rely on SEA OF ROSES, who was second to the classy Arrest at Ffos Las on her only start to date and seems sure to have learned plenty from the experience. If she fails to build on that run then newcomers Sacred Flower, a sister to Sheema Classic winner Old Persian, and Market Value, the first foal of Gold Cup winer Estimate, could be the ones to capitalise.

In a race full of untapped talent it may be worth keeping a close eye on the performances of Humankind, a daughter of Frankel making her racecourse debut, and Winter's Love, an Invincible Spirit filly for a Charlie Appleby yard whose juveniles can do little wrong. Both could go well, but DOOM looked an unlucky loser when a neck third at Newcastle after having to sit and wait for a clear run. She may make amends here for a stable and jockey at the top of their game.

SATIRICAL was sent off an odds-on favourite for her debut at Haydock in May and shaped with an abundance of promise, finishing a head second. The third and fourth from that contest have both won since and, with the Kingman filly likely to have progressed since her introduction, she looks sure to play a leading role in this contest. Havana Blue took a big step forward from his first to second start and he must enter calculations, while Florida, Hosanna Power, Inspiritus and Overrule are all interesting newcomers.

ASJAD edged out the reopposing Mums Tipple over an extended 6f here before meeting traffic problems when a place behind the same rival at Ascot, over 7f, last time. Returning to a track where he has won two of his three visits, and with usual rider P J McDonald back on board, he gets the nod. The aforementioned Mums Tipple has filled the runner-up spot on his last three starts and could do so again here, although Dakota Gold is unlikely to be far away either.

Almuhit looks far from straightforward and, although he certainly has the ability to win this off a mark of 92, he could be worth taking on. TRAILA produced his best performance to date when a short-head second over 1m6f at Yarmouth last time and, with William Buick taking over the reins, he is fancied to land the spoils. Dark Jedi looks most solid of the remaining trio and he could take home the bronze medal.

FIRST OFFICER appeared to benefit from both a drop back in trip and a change of scenery when scoring impressively at Nottingham earlier in the month. The son of Galileo went up 8lb for that success and more improvement may be forthcoming. Lizzie Jean was set an impossible task when finishing last in the St Leger here and she has to command respect taking a significant drop in grade, while others to consider include Frankendael and Polyphonic.

MORNING SUN took a step forward when third at Windsor on his handicap bow and the manner in which he finished off that contest suggested the extra couple of furlongs may see the son of Muhaarar progress further. Aldbourne has gone up 15lb for victories at Nottingham and Brighton this month and he is likely to enter calculations once again. Flylikeaneagle, Grand Libya and Shahnaz appeal most of the remainder.
