This could take a bit of getting and I thought HYMAC shaped like a strong stayer to win his bumper by 4 lengths at Newton Abbot back in March. He was well backed on that occasion and readily landed the gamble. He has undergone wind surgery since and goes hurdling now armed with plenty of potential. This does look quite competitive but he should relish the step up to 2 and a half miles and he is one I want to keep on side. New Found Fame was an easy winner on hurdles debut at Uttoxeter and likely has more to come for Kerry Lee which is why he is topping the market. Spring Meadow improved to win a bumper at Doncaster in testing ground and is another one up in trip for hurdles debut that should have a future. This should be informative and might throw up one or two winners going forward.

The lightly raced PEKING ROSE could be primed to strike here for Fergal O’Brien. He impressed winning by 11 lengths at Newbury in soft ground last year and ran some good races in defeat after. He was only seventh over C&D when last seen but that was a Grade 3 and the form looks solid having been well advertised since. He has had a wind op and looks potentially well handicapped here. He should relish conditions and even as competitive as this is I think he will go close with the yard already firing. Onemorefortheroad is an honest type who should give his running but I think is better suited by 2 miles and might just find something staying on better. A Different Kind has some good form in the book and will find this easier so also has to enter the mix along with Wilde About Oscar though he needs to bounce back.
