UK Horse Racing Tips: Limerick

KIKI BADGER has no jumping experience but was smart in bumpers and handles testing ground. He won well at Tipperary earlier this month and being a busy six year old, is likely to have been well schooled. Viceregent, a soft ground winner on the flat, bumped into a smart horse at Punchestown and is again vulnerable to capable types. Misty's Gift is a dual bumper winner who is suited by going right-handed but was well enough held on a recent Gowran run. Moon Rise Beauty made jumping errors on hurdles debut at Listowel and has plenty to prove reverting to testing ground, having won her bumper on a sound surface. Youralwaysdreamin is a course bumper winner who needs testing ground and while forgiven his disappointing hurdles debut last February having hung badly left throughout, he reappears in a first-time tongue-tie.

CATENA ZAPATA was rated 88 on the flat and ran well on hurdles debut. His two wins have come on the all-weather and while two miles on testing ground could stretch his stamina, he handles soft and should improve from Gowran. Polo Lounge is a more conventional jumping type who has bumper form but meets testing ground for the first time and could lack a gear against the selection. Verdant Place showed promise on testing ground last season and while a market perusal is pertinent, he reappears following a summer's break. Slieve Barnagh likes soft but was well held in an April 2021 hurdle while Broadford Publican is held by the selection on Gowran form but should improve. Gracefromnaas showed some pace, before falling at the last, in a confined point-to-point which has worked out well.

Most are tip toeing around on unsuitable ground but PLAINS INDIAN has form on heavy and is capable. A 16 lengths soft-ground maiden hurdle winner, he bumped into Champ Kiely and Brazil at Tipperary recently and drops slightly in grade. The Friday Man is rated 7lb higher at 134 and while he won on soft at Perth, encounters much more testing conditions with the bulk of his form being on summer ground. Ambitious Fellow is similarly rated and is in form but his form is on a sound surface. Gaelic Arc was six lengths behind the selection at Tipperary but, again, his best form is on good ground. Another Choice has yet to run on soft but his two winning siblings handled testing conditions and he has proven stamina.

QUEENS BROOK steps up slightly in distance but has proven form on testing ground. Placed in the 2020 Cheltenham festival bumper, she finished second in March's mares' hurdle at that festival and while she lacks a recent run, has the class to win. Coral Cup winner Heaven Help Us also handles testing ground but similarly makes her reappearance is held by the selection on Cheltenham form in March. Kilbarry Chloe was a course and distance winner on testing ground in March but gives away 6lb to her principal dangers. Molly Wedger and Rebel Ivy are held by Kilbarry Chloe on CD March form while Time To Rocco steps up in grade.

VELVET ELVIS was a good sixth in the Irish Grand National and is suited by staying distances and testing ground. A lightly-raced six year old, he could continue to progress and will be ready on reappearance. Donkey Years beat Kerry National runner-up Recite A Prayer to win at the Punchestown festival, remains a fraction unexposed and should strip fitter for a recent run at Listowel. Darrens Hope's form can be in-and-out but ran well recently, is suited by conditions and finished behind Recite A Prayer in May. Max Flamingo has yet to be tested on heavy ground and if he copes, can get involved having finished seventh in the Irish National and being a winner since. Galway Plate winner Early Doors finished narrowly in front of the selection in the Irish Grand National and while suited by conditions, has top weight on reappearance. Death Duty and Floueur are capable at best but don't look ahead of the handicapper. Thyestes winner Coko Beach is suited by heavy and while just seven, last season's form was a little disappointing. Walking On Glass has more on his plate than his most recent wins.

FIGHTING FIT has good form and if returned to his boxing weight, should go close. He competes from a career high rating but is suited by this distance and testing ground and represents a yard in form. Street Value landed a gamble to win at Cork in January and while he hasn't run since February, is ideally suited by testing conditions and could continue to progress in handicaps. Gevrey has plenty experience and while probably not ahead of the handicapper, ran well at Galway and is suited by conditions. Optional Mix contests her first handicap chase but is rated 10lb higher than her hurdles mark while Railway Hurricane has been running well and has heavy ground form, but hasn't won for two years. Krabat was behind Gevrey and Street Value at Naas in February but has been running well over hurdles recently.

KNOW THE GAME was well beaten in maiden hurdles and beginners chases but ran well on handicap debut. He finished third in a big-field Naas handicap hurdle in March, is suited by soft and looks nicely treated on handicap chase debut, being unexposed and rated 4lb higher over hurdles. Top weight Malina Girl is in excellent form but disappointed on her only soft-ground run. Ground-versatile Cahirdown Boy, a course winner, ran well on handicap chase debut at Listowel while stablemate Holiday In Kerry is also a course winner on testing ground but makes his chase debut. Galon De Vauzelle exited at the first on handicap chase debut at Gowran and is interesting being rated 7lb higher over hurdles. Happy Dreams was well backed at Tipperary and while beaten in fifth when falling at the last, is a five year old who could progress some more and has heavy-ground form.

SHOOT THE BLUES represents a yard doing well and is nicely bred. A E42,000 three year old and by the same sire as Constitution Hill, he is a half-brother to a dual winner and his trainer currently has a useful bumper line through Marine Nationale. Polly's Fortune went unsold at E4,500 as a three year old but represents Willie Mullins and is out of a bumper-placed dam. Andy Dufresne's brother Ellis Boyd Redding has point-to-point and bumper form but is vulnerable to smarter types. Emer Elysees was a beaten favourite on debut at Cork in May and could be capable of better while Chainofconsequence and Le Fanu have some place prospects.
