Techno Lady put in a career-best effort when third in that contest and she should not be underestimated. Stintino Sunset edges out Poppy Carrew and Absolute Peach to be the pick of the remainder.

Several of these look capable of progressing, not least the filly DEAR DAPHNE, who returned from a 128-day break to run a highly-promising race at Yarmouth recently. Bird Of Play is of interest on his first start for new connections, while Be Frank and Muy Muy Guapo are others to consider.

With plenty of pace on in this contest, things could set up quite nicely for GUESS, who has stayed on well on his last two outings. The step up in trip could be the making of him and he has far fewer miles on the clock than recent Nottingham scorer Harswell Duke and C&D winner Hathlool. Intercessor was always on top when seeing off the reopposing Strongbowe (second) at Nottingham and he can uphold that form here.

The filly responded well to racing in an eye-shield when she finished a close-up fourth at Redcar last month and, with her rider taking 7lb off her back with his claim, this looks a good opportunity for her to strike. Gordonstoun won a seller over C&D 13 days ago and is respected in his bid to follow up, while Sisters In The Sky has a live chance under the terms of the race and shouldn't be dismissed lightly.

RAMBUSO CREEK has been well backed on numerous occasions since he returned from wind surgery and has enjoyed mixed fortunes for one reason or another. However, he retains plenty of ability and still has scope from his current rating. He showed his well-being with a near-miss when second at Pontefract last week and is taken to go one better here. Faustus and Show Me Show Me are closely matched judged on their encounter at Newcastle last month and both should be monitored closely in the betting. So Smart is consistent and also worthy of consideration.
