FAROUK DE CHENEAU has been kept busy over the summer and finished a respectable second at Southwell last month. He has been steadily progressive and can improve further, while Manothepeople secured a double over hurdles at the end of last season and seems a big threat if ready to roll off a break. Aeronisi made a winning start for Evan Williams in March and should also not be dismissed.

GENTLE CONNECTIONS was highly tried in the Grade 2 Persian War here earlier in the month, but prior to that she had managed to rack up a four-timer and is likely to prove more competitive now returning to handicap company. Chloe's Court is capable on her day and ran a respectable race on her seasonal debut over C&D last season, so she could pose the main threat if ready to roll. Rose Of Arcadia makes the most appeal of the remainder now returning from a successful stint in point-to-points.

Karakoram and No No Tonic are both entitled to improve on their respective returns and are worth considering if conditions do deteriorate. However, KEPLERIAN is an interesting contender on his first start for the Fergal O'Brien yard and improvement may be forthcoming now the five-year-old is dropped back in trip. Well Done Dani and Sevenofus are others to note in a wide-open contest.

Stepney Causeway and Fern Hill may put their chase experience to good use but could be vulnerable to less-exposed rivals.
