This is a decent race but the good looking DIAMOND VEGA really impressed at Haydock winning easily despite still looking rough around the edges. She will likely improve plenty from that and should relish the step up into better company as I can see them going a stronger gallop which should only help her. She is well bred being by Lope De Vega and I’m keen to keep her on side. Matilda Picot has been on the go since May and is favourite by default here to some extent as she has run in Group company but I think she is opposable. Believing is better than what she showed at Newmarket last time and might pose a greater threat. Kitai impressed at Pontefract but made all the running and is unlikely to get it all her own way in this company. Marine Wave is unexposed and met trouble last time so might be worth a second look.
