The Kevin Philippart De Foy trained MY BOY JACK (best priced at 15/4) has gone close on his previous two starts over 6f and he should be suited by this step up to 7f. The three-year-old has shown good form on the all-weather since joining this stable with form figures of 34032. The gelding was only beaten ¾ length when 3rd at Wolverhampton on his penultimate start over 6f before finishing a close 2nd last time at Newcastle over the same trip.

On both occasions My Boy Jack was staying on well at the finish shaping like this step up to 7f will suit him better and hopefully he can finally get off the mark at the fourteenth attempt.

The Kevin Frost trained DOCUMENTING (NAP) (best priced at 9/2) won this race in 2020 and was unlucky to bump into the incredibly well handicapped Modern Games when 2nd in it last year. The nine-year-old is a five-time course and distance winner and he has been running well on turf this season including when victorious at Newbury in August. He is a much better horse on the all-weather and is well suited by this track.

Documenting won this race off a 7lb higher mark in 2020 and finished 2nd behind Modern Games (who is now rated 12lbs higher) off a 5lb higher mark last year so he looks really well handicapped off a mark of 100 and he should run well with up to four places available.

The Shaun Lycett trained BRANSON MISSOURI (best priced at 11/1) won a similar contest over this course and distance last time and she should hold strong claims off a 3lbs higher mark. She finished 3rd on her stable debut in August when finding 2m7f too far before winning over this course and distance last time over 2m4f off a mark of 98.

That was also a 0-120 handicap and despite now running off a 3lb higher mark, Branson Missouri should hold strong claims with Tom Scudamore retaining the ride.
