A case can be made for several of these, including Apex, who is a half-brother to the classy Oscula and could build on his racecourse bow. Peace Of Mine may find this to be easier than her latest assignment but preference is for LIBERTY MOUNTAIN, who boasts plenty of track experience and secured a decent third over this C&D last month. She makes plenty of appeal on paper, given her dam is a Listed-placed half-sister to the Group 3 winner African Dream, so improvement is not ruled out. Golden Phase looks pick of the remainder.

John and Thady Gosden send out two well-bred fillies in the shape of One Evening and DARMOISELLE, with the latter striking as the more appealing option. The daughter of Dubawi is unexposed and drops from Group 3 company into these slightly calmer waters. Her previous form is very encouraging and she could have more improvement left to come. Pearl Beach also has a strong chance at this level, while Bartzella is another to seriously consider.

Oscula and INTERNATIONALANGEL are closely matched based on their meeting in a Group 3 at Goodwood in July. The former came out on top that day but the margin was narrow and Jane Chapple-Hyam's mare is fancied to turn the tables on these more favourable terms. Crystal Caprice is a progressive filly who also merits interest and she completes the shortlist.

This is a big drop in class for Dhabab, who was far-from disgraced when fifth in last year's Dewhurst at Newmarket. Stopnsearch finished last over hurdles on his latest start but he can be expected to prove more competitive now returned to the Flat.
