The step back up in trip can work a treat for DESERT DREAM as the C&D winner looks to bounce back to the form of his win at Catterick in September. Seb Spencer's charge remains feasibly handicapped and he should have too much for Maahi Ve, who wasn't beaten far over C&D last time out but remains a maiden after 21 starts. Lady Ziana and Rainbow Sign are likely to be thereabouts as well.

A convincing winner over C&D last time out, CHIFA must hold every chance of following up off just a 2lb higher mark. This appeals as another perfect opportunity and the rival who could give him the most to think about is Lockdown Lass, who has not been beaten far on her last two outings here. Peachey Carnehan has been in fine form of late and must enter calculations, along with Bawaader and Stoney Lane.

Although she concedes 7lb all round, this looks an ideal opportunity for the consistent SHE'S HOT to record her second win. She did remarkably well to finish second last time, despite stumbling and clipping heels with another rival, and could take all the beating here. The biggest threat may come from Mythical World, who improved from her debut to be denied late on at Beverley last month. Lady Of Arabia caught the eye when third here on debut and this longer trip looks sure to suit.

BELISA DE VEGA has won her last two starts, most recently over a furlong further at this track and a 2lb rise for that success looks fair. Cloch Nua stayed on well to win at Newcastle 11 days ago and that form has been boosted with the runner-up winning since. Min Till makes her all-weather debut having won at Ayr last month and, if adapting to this surface, she looks a lively danger.

IRV has been a beaten favourite on his last two starts but he should not be underestimated and this slightly sharper trip may suit. The Marcus Tregoning-trained Meadram is unbeaten over C&D and a return to this surface is a positive having disappointed at Goodwood in June. Diamond Jill was a respectable runner-up here last month and could run into the places again.

HIT MAC is the most interesting of the newcomers, although the market will be a key guide to expectations. His dam was a useful type and managed to win on her racecourse debut, so George Boughey's charge may be worth risking. Shades Of Summer arguably sets the standard of those with form and has to enter calculations, with Ischia likely to put her recent experience in handicaps to good use here.

Jackamundo appeared to appreciate the different tactics when coming through the pack to win at Yarmouth 11 days ago and a 4lb rise shouldn't prevent him from being competitive once more. The three-year-old has been doing his best work at the finish of late and may now prove a different proposition. All About Alice and Rochebrune are others to consider.
