GYTO's Sunday Notebook Double pays 10/1.
13:43 Huntingdon
I don’t usually target three horse races for my Notebook but there is a severe lack of runners at Huntingdon this afternoon so I didn’t have much choice. SEDGE WREN really stands out here to me and she isn’t even favourite. She ran a nice race on debut under Rules to finish third in a bumper here and was a lot more streetwise finishing third at Cheltenham back in April. The two in front of her both look decent types and she is bred to come into her own now jumping hurdles.
This looks a good opportunity and she should be going close. She goes up in trip which will help too so definitely one to keep on side. Maridadi has experience on side having gone down just half a length at Warwick on debut over hurdles and looks the threat. Martalindy might struggle giving away a fair bit of weight.

I really liked the way FOLLOW THE CROWD asserted to win at Roscommon back in August. That was a career best and put away since he is open to plenty more improvement yet. He has gone up 8lb but now he has his head in front it really wouldn’t surprise me to see him kick on. He won’t mind the testing conditions and I can see him turning into one of the gambles of the day come post time. King Ferdinand made the breakthrough over fences at Thurles last time but I’m not sure if that form is up to much and I think he’ll need more up 8lb here against a much fresher horse in the selection. Sanibel Island is chasing a hat-trick but a further 6lb rise might make him a bit vulnerable as being a 10-year-old he won’t improve again. Hoke Colburn is pretty consistent but is on a lengthy losing run.
