GYTO's Tuesday Notebook Double pays 12/1.
13:30 Warwick
With some notable winners over the weekend the Skelton yard look to be coming into form now so ETALON might be worth keeping on side at Warwick on Tuesday. This son of Sholokhov cost £60,000 and underwent wind surgery before making his racecourse debut in a bumper at Chepstow. He showed a fair bit of ability that day making good headway from off the pace to eventually finish third.
He came seven lengths clear from the fourth so it was a good effort considering. He goes up in trip for his hurdles debut and is of definite interest now. Everyonesgame was well backed on hurdles debut before bumping into Spanish Present. That was a good run but the winner has let that form down since. He might still be the danger with that experience under his belt.
17:00 Southwell
With three wins from his last four GRIGGY is clearly thriving right now and he might be able to make a winning start for his new yard despite a 7lb rise in the weights. He is still well treated on his old form having won off a mark of 65 in the past so I think another big run beckons. He obviously has to prove himself at this track but there is a lot of pace on and that will suit him.
Wee Fat Mac is chasing a hat-trick himself having won twice at Newcastle but he was only in front a short head last time and a 7lb rise might find him out here despite being unexposed. Bayraat goes handicapping now but hasn’t shown a massive amount. He will likely do better but might need more time and experience. Jackmeister Rudi might end up being the main danger if proving as effective on the AW.
