The George Boughey trained CANTORA (best priced at 5/4) got off the mark last time on her handicap debut and she should hold strong claims under a 6lb penalty. The daughter of Time Test defied her breeding and appreciated the heavy ground last time when victorious by 2 ¾ lengths at Leicester over 7f. That was a step up trip for her having finished well beaten on her first three starts over 6f in novice company on faster ground.

Cantora runs here under a 6lb penalty but we know she handles the soft ground and this further step up to a mile should suit her well based on her running style last time. Saffie Osbourne retains the ride taking off 3lbs again and I expect her to prove hard to beat.

This looks a competitive novice hurdle but preference goes to Charlie Longsdon trained EVERYONESGAME (best priced at 9/4) who has run consistently well on all four of her starts to date. The five-year-old finished 2nd in a PTP by a head before winning a Doncaster bumper under Brian Hughes on his first start under rules. He finished 2nd under a penalty at Warwick on his next start under 7lb claimer Bradley Roberts before finishing 2nd on his hurdling debut last time on his reappearance.

Everyonesgame finished 4 ½ lengths behind the more experienced Spanish Present on his reappearance but he pulled 13 lengths clear of the third showing that it was solid form. Connections now fit the gelding with a first time tongue tie and I expect him to prove hard to beat with him having a fitness edge over all of his rivals.
