I’m going to chance GRIVETANA on her reappearance at Newbury on Thursday. This filly still possesses plenty of potential and I think she had excuses when fourth at Cheltenham on final start last season. She was trying to come from off the pace and didn’t have a great deal of room two out before being denied a run. She didn’t finish all that convincingly but this track should suit better and off a mark of 121 I think she will be a danger to all here.

Angus Cheleda claims a handy 3lb and under positive tactics this time she might prove hard to catch. Long Stay is by Nathaniel and should keep improving but I think he needs more on that bare form at Perth where he finished second to Nayati. He was well held in the end but still rates the biggest danger to the selection in this. Herbiers has had a wind op so perhaps best of the rest.
