Low mileage seven-year-old Onestepatatime looks a threat on her seasonal/chasing debut, while Kildrum is also worth considering on his return.

ROYALE DANCE made a pleasing start for Dan Skelton when running on for second on her Rules debut in a Stratford bumper in March. She dead-heated for major honours in a point-to-point on her introduction and rates a serious contender on her hurdles/seasonal bow. Rockonsoph seems a big threat if ready to roll on her first start since winning between the flags 12 months ago, while Noplacetobe is another to consider.

DE LEGISLATOR makes his Rules debut following a comfortable victory in a point-to-point at Oldcastle in April. He was a 170,000-euro purchase and makes his first start or Lucinda Russell today, so it would be no surprise to see him involved at the finish. Max's Champ may be sharper for his comeback run at Chepstow last month and is feared most, ahead of Rock House.

PADDY THE HORSE returned from a break with a solid effort on the hurdles course here 27 days ago and will be hard to repel with that run behind him. The drop in trip isn't much of an issue given his previous efforts over timber when tried over similar distances and, given that he has experience of larger obstacles from his point-to-point days, he looks worth chancing on his debut in this discipline. Malpas and Feivel are other chasing newcomers who need to be seriously considered.

Still unexposed over hurdles, Jamil could have more to offer and appeals as a likely candidate for a race of this nature. However, he has tended to come on for a run when returning from a break in the past so a betting check may be advisable before taking the plunge where he is concerned. With that in mind, it might be more profitable to side with BRICKADANK, who posted a decent effort to finish fourth at Carlisle 15 days ago and a step forward from that performance could see him home in front here. Les's Legacy and Poetria complete the shortlist.

Still unexposed, FENLAND TIGER won with a bit in hand at Carlisle 15 days ago and the manner of that performance suggests a 7lb higher mark might not be enough to prevent him from following up here. Admittedly, the longer trip has to be a slight concern, so significant support in the betting market for either Robbie Dazzler or Espoir Moriviere would have to be taken seriously. The latter especially stands out as a threat, as he has proven stamina and plenty of experience of racing at this course to draw upon.
