I was looking forward to GIT MAKER reappearing in the week but he was pulled out in the end. He is versatile regarding ground so perhaps they just felt this was a more suitable assignment. Either way he brings a fair bit of potential to the table here. He was progressive over hurdles winning three of his four starts and that was a big performance defying a double penalty at Newcastle in April. He goes chasing now and remains open to further improvement with Jamie Snowden in good form.

Mumbo Jumbo chased home a rapid improver in Kinondo Kwetu at Uttoxeter on reappearance and looks the obvious danger if building on that. Solo failed to win last season and is proving frustrating but down in class here he still deserves plenty of respect. Hudson De Grugy is likeable but should come on for the run.

I thought DUKE DE SESSA showed a cracking attitude to run down Thunder Kiss at Leopardstown back in September. That looked a good race and he did it with a bit up his sleeve I thought. I know he has been beaten in France since but he only went down half a length and that also looks a strong piece of form in the context of this race. He still has more to offer as his stamina is drawn out and he is very much the one to beat.

Yaxeni has won two of her last three and looks the danger if turning up in similar form here given she goes particularly well in testing conditions. Of the rest Zola Sakura is quite interesting from a place perspective as she is a big price and won very easily here last month albeit in an apprentice race. She was largely consistent before that so I see no reason why she won’t give her running again.
