This looks a really good opportunity for TWEED SKIRT to make a winning chase debut. She got off the mark over hurdles at just the second attempt when making all at Ascot and she was fairly highly tried after that. She failed to land a blow in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival but didn’t jump with any fluency likely put under pressure by the pace they were going.
She shaped better in defeat when fourth at Newbury back in April and has been put away since with this in mind. She is bred to be pretty useful and chasing could be her forte so with just four rivals to beat she has obvious claims. Ucanaver is likeable and made it two wins from four starts over hurdles at Ffos Las at the start of the year. She goes well fresh and looks the biggest danger if taking to this discipline.

The hat-trick seeking UNSUNG HERO should take the beating again at Wolverhampton tonight despite a 9lb rise. Heather Main’s colt has really relished the switch back to the AW lately and made all again last time going clear inside the final furlong. They really seem to be playing to his strengths now so while the rise does make this tougher I think he might be up to the task especially as he may face an uncontested lead again.
The only other early dash could come from Bare Necessity but she did too much early when only fifth at Southwell and I think they might be a bit more patient on her this time. Thapa VC is fully effective over this C&D and with first-time cheekpieces reached for could be the main danger. Visibility has been busy but remains in form and would have to be respected again.
