I really like the chances of BOOMBAWN here for Dan and Harry Skelton. He was progressive over hurdles last season winning two from four and he bumped into Knappers Hill on final start at Sandown which obviously looks really strong form now. He made a winning return at Kempton last month despite not jumping great and the second has already come out and franked the form since. He is back in a handicap now off a mark of 129 so this will demand more but he is going the right way and I’m keen to keep him onside for now. Plumpton winner Caramelised might struggle under a penalty but if he jumps better he’d have to be respected. Onemorefortheroad is likeable and will be much more at home back down to two miles so is another one not to entirely rule out.

There are potentially some nice types lining up here so it will likely be a race to watch back a few times but I think JUBILEE EXPRESS could be a nice prospect in the making. Sam Thomas has made a really good start to the season and this son of No Risk At All took a massive step forward to make a winning hurdling debut at Hereford back in March. He hadn’t shown much in bumpers prior to that but looked a different proposition staying on strongly to get up on the line. The pair pulled a country mile clear that day too so it was a good effort. He hasn’t been seen since but is open to improvement and might be up to defying a penalty on reappearance. Twin Power showed definite promise in two bumper runs and looks the danger but does lack experience so might need it.
