This field is packed full of potential as you might expect but I’m hopeful COLLECTORS ITEM can make his presence felt. This son of Flemensfirth looks great value at 5/1 having made a winning hurdles debut at Chepstow last month. He did a fair bit wrong that day looking rough around the edges but ultimately stayed on strongly to win readily. The form looks good and with this step up in trip ideal he should prove hard to beat under Jonjo O’Neill Junior. Hubrisko is favourite for Mullins but I think he is opposable and there is no juice in his price. He was well held at Tipperary last month and while this step up in trip should suit I think he needs more. Hermes Allen looks a greater threat after sauntering to victory at Stratford. He should have lots more to come and will give the selection a race here.
