UK Horse Racing Tips: Cheltenham

Ballyadam Destiny caught the eye when bouncing back to winning form at Galway last month, but ENKI FLACKE is preferred. The Gordon Elliott-trained gelding arrives for his handicap bow bidding for his fourth consecutive hurdles success in first-time cheekpieces and, with talented claimer Sam Ewing taking 3lb off his back, the five-year-old makes plenty of appeal. Sweet Will scored comfortably on his most recent run at Fairyhouse and can also give a good account.

THE GLANCING QUEEN bolted up here in April despite having to shoulder top weight and she is entitled to make her presence felt on her return to action. She kept on well to score in Listed company on her seasonal debut last year, so is more than capable of running well fresh and she shades the vote from Amarillo Sky, who has been significantly eased in grade. The Laura Morgan-trained Hasankey lost little in defeat at Ayr last month and is another to note.

Pull Again Green failed to justify market support when finishing third at this track last month but is entitled to improve with that run under his belt. UNANSWERED PRAYERS makes the switch to fences having not been disgraced behind Knappers Hill at Chepstow most recently. A previous point-to-point runner-up, he can certainly make his mark in this sphere. Railway Hurricane is another to consider.

In an open event, a chance is taken on ELEGANT ESCAPE. Joe Tizzard's charge cashed in on a reduced mark when last seen, winning a similar contest at Ascot. The ability to go well fresh is a further bonus and the burden of top weight shouldn't inconvenience him either. Ballyandy must enter calculations having reappeared with a good third at Perth in September, along with Native Robin, who boasts an excellent record over the larger obstacles.

Paul Nicholls could have another smart one on his hands in the shape of HERMES ALLEN and he's fancied to land this Grade 2 prize. A former point winner, he won by 27 lengths on his hurdles debut last month, though he'll undoubtedly face sterner opposition here. Irish challengers Music Drive and Hubrisko must be feared, along with Collectors Item, who should relish the step up in trip having scored over 2m at Chepstow last time.

Rathmacknee hacked up at Fakenham in May and, though a mark of 124 might underestimate him, preference is for ALTO ALTO. The five-year-old battled on gamely at Ascot on his reappearance, but ultimately he was headed late on. That quality ought to stand him in good stead here, though, and a similar performance could see him go one better. Others to note include Hey Johnny, Mothill and Master Dancer.
