Kai Lenihan rode a winner for Kim Bailey at Exeter 10 days ago and could repeat the dose on SAMATIAN in this conditional jockeys' contest. The selection failed to defy a 3lb rise for his 2m2f Stratford success over that same C&D latest, but was only beaten three lengths and that form reads well in the context of this race. Sir Jack West took a step in the right direction when third over a similar trip at Worcester last month and looks the main danger, ahead of Largy Reach, who is sliding down the ratings.

Cabayo Lady arrives on the back of a taking success at Worcester but has gone up 8lb for that victory and has little margin for error now. Slight preference is for NEVER NO TROUBLE, who ran well in defeat at Warwick off this mark last month and the form of that third-placed effort has been boosted by the winner scoring again since. Ramure returns from a break but the top weight has slipped to a feasible mark if judged on her best form.

Asa looks interesting on her first start in the UK after a promising third at Toulouse in late June, and she may prove the biggest danger to LECHRO, who is probably the best of these on the Flat and was only beaten a head at Fakenham on her hurdling bow. She should be even better suited by this track and could prove hard to beat, leaving Toute Chic and Miss Fedora to battle it out for third.

Order Of St John was a solid second on the Flat last month and he should go well if he adapts to hurdles, but that hasn't been the case so far and LUSAKA seems the more sensible choice. Second on his last three starts over hurdles and a beaten favourite at Plumpton in September, he won't find many easier chances to get off the mark. The Geordie Ginge looks one to watch for future reference.

A small but closely matched field that may see SACRE PIERRE come home in front at these weights. He will need a career best to win off this mark but he is lightly raced over hurdles and, more importantly, can go well after a break. If he has an off day then Just The Man and Across The Line look the likeliest to step up and take advantage, having both run well off higher marks.
