The lightly-raced Jack Darcy steps up in trip and he could go well with his jockey claiming 7lb, though his stamina has to be taken on trust. Veteran Sir Chauvelin and perhaps Dark Jedi can follow them home.

Lady Marie ran a promising race on debut when third here, leading two furlongs out before weakening late on over a furlong further. She can go well, but NINE TENTHS could have her measure assuming she has learned from her first run at Doncaster. Slowly away and showing signs of inexperience, she kept on well despite the heavy going and might be a different proposition on this surface. Red Maids might prove best of the rest.

Destined was beaten half a length on her debut at Ripon and, if she takes a step forward, she is entitled to get into the mix here as well. Statu Of Liberty will try to put her experience to good use, but might have to settle for third once again if CALLUNA is on her game. Fourth on her C&D debut, she was a length second at Wolverhampton on her only other start and, with her stable in great form, she could go one better here.

ABSOLUTE QUEEN shaped with promise in all three starts in the summer and looks to have been freshened up with a winter campaign in mind. This is her first start in handicap company and she gets the nod on her all-weather debut. The biggest danger may come from recent course winner Champagne Sarah, who won a shade cosily over the minimum trip a fortnight ago and has been raised 5lb. Havana By The Sea wasn't disgraced when fifth in a conditions race over C&D last month and is also noted.

MRS U S A hasn't been seen since going off a warm order when finishing down the field in a nursery at York in August. She was denied a clear run on a number of occasions that day and is taken to gain some sort of compensation running off the same mark here. Omniqueen went into many notebooks when scoring easily on debut and, although she struggled in Group company on her next two starts, she has been freshened up since and is likely to make her presence felt. 92,000gns purchase Silent Words is another to consider.

POCKLEY appears to have appreciated a return to the all-weather and Linda Perratt now applies blinkers to the four-year-old gelding who, if adapting to this sharper trip, looks sure to be thereabouts. Recent Nottingham fourth Wrenthorpe is worth a mention having only been beaten a length on that occasion. Carlton And Co was last seen finishing nicely into fourth over C&D and also warrants respect.

A few last-time-out winners to consider, with MR TREVOR making most appeal. The Ann Duffield inmate has won his last two appearances over this C&D and a 3lb rise for his success here 11 days ago could prove lenient. Vindobala has been operating over 1m of late, but can't be ruled out after a small rise for his success here last month. Jack Daniel was narrowly denied off a career-low mark at Southwell recently and is noted too.

GOING UNDERGROUND caught the eye with how he travelled over C&D 11 days ago and looked an unfortunate loser after failing to find a gap near the finish. The five-year-old may gain compensation here with a smoother passage and rates the one to beat off 2lb higher. Prince Hector finished second to the selection here last month and showed his well-being with a good fourth at Redcar two weeks ago. Mintnthat and Whatwouldyouknow are others to keep an eye on.

This appears a wide-open contest, with narrow preference for BELLAGIO MAN after gaining his first success on the all-weather over this C&D 11 days ago. A 3lb rise shouldn't prevent another bold bid. Golden Apollo arrives in good form and is the biggest threat to the selection if breaking on better terms. The lightly-raced Belle Fourche can't be ruled out in her current form, with Rory likely to run his race once more.
