Snowy Clouds will likely be popular here after making a winning chase debut at Market Rasen last month. He only beat 2 rivals on that occasion though and there is definitely room for improvement in his jumping. This looks more competitive so I think he is worth opposing with BOLSOVER BILL. The latter is yet to win over fences but has only had a handful of starts and remains open to improvement. He was still travelling quite strongly when coming down at Plumpton last month and if bouncing back should have a big chance here. Spot On Soph does go well over this C&D but she did weaken tamely at Carlisle last time and will need to improve on that to win this. Relkadam has also won over track and trip in the past but will need to leave that reappearance run behind to figure.

With 2 wins from 3 starts under Rules the promising OPERATION MANNA looks one to keep on side for Tom Lacey. I thought he did plenty wrong on debut over hurdles but somehow only went down a length and a half. He improved on that to stay on strongly to open his account at Exeter when last seen back in March and could be a nice prospect now handicapping up in trip. He is still rough around the edges so I’m expecting plenty of progress this season. Charlie’s Glance pulled up at Bangor which was disappointing but did look back in some sort of form when third on return at Kempton. If he steps forward again then he is the most likely danger. Iberio bumped into Branson Missouri at Worcester and while that form reads well he was thrashed 22 lengths so needs more.
