A case can be made for several of these, but CRAMBO caught the eye when scoring under a penalty in a bumper on his most recent outing at Huntingdon in March. He is two from two and should not be taken lightly on his hurdling bow, although Holetown Hero can improve for his seasonal debut and can make his presence felt for powerful connections. Boom Boom showed plenty of encouragement on both of his career starts last season and could also make the frame.
Prediction : 1st Crambo 2nd Holetown Hero 3rd Boom Boom

A 7lb penalty for his five-length win at Sandown a couple of weeks ago may not be enough to stop SOLO on this occasion. He made all over 2m4f that day and he merits the utmost respect this afternoon, but Thunder Rock made a winning start to his chasing career last time out and should not be underestimated. Garry Clermont was last seen finishing a creditable fourth in a Grade 3 hurdle at Aintree in April and also merits consideration now chasing.
Prediction : 1st Solo 2nd Thunder Rock 3rd Garry Clermont

Kandoo Kid remains unexposed and was last seen securing a comfortable victory in a novice hurdle here last October. A half-brother to the French Grade 3 winner Starlet Du Mesnil, he certainly looks talented enough to have a say in proceedings, but given he has had 384 days off the track it is easier to side with MASTER CHEWY. Nigel Twiston-Davies' charge kept on well for third on his seasonal debut last month and it is likely there is more to come from him, while Diyaken is another to consider on his return to action.
Prediction : 1st Master Chewy 2nd Kandoo Kid 3rd Diyaken

Do Your Job was a progressive chaser last season and it is too soon to be writing him off after one poor run at Aintree, given that he has had a subsequent wind operation. Espoir De Guye is of serious interest having won this race back in 2020 and has a fantastic record fresh. However, a chance is taken on the returning FLEGMATIK, who appeared to find 3m5f too far at Sandown in April and had previously scored twice at Kempton.
Prediction : 1st Flegmatik 2nd Do Your Job 3rd Espoir De Guye

C&D winner CAT TIGER has to be of serious now returned to the scene of his most recent success and his current mark could prove to be lenient. Smarty Wild appeared to be travelling strongly when falling at Kempton last time and may be a big threat to the selection if ready roll on his seasonal debut. Kapga De Lily won this race 12 months ago off 10lb lower but can't be ruled out.
Prediction : 1st Cat Tiger 2nd Smarty Wild 3rd Kapga De Lily

GET BACK GET BACK escapes a penalty for winning a conditionals' event 11 days ago and rates the one to beat, despite being 1lb out of the handicap. Gipsy De Choisel settled better when winning in handicap company in May and further progress cannot be ruled out, with Doctor Parnassus another to consider. He is 1-1 over C&D and likely has more improvement to come.
Prediction : 1st Get Back Get Back 2nd Gipsy De Choisel 3rd Doctor Parnassus

Sporting Ace may have found the trip too short when second at Exeter last time out but ought to be more at home up in trip today, though top-weight could prove to be an anchor and he may have to settle for a place. Betterforeveryone needs to step up again after his Bangor success and a 4lb rise won't help his cause, leaving THE QUESTIONER as the selection. Narrowly beaten on his last two starts, he has won over this trip at Southwell and may make the most of bottom weight here.
Prediction : 1st The Questioner 2nd Sporting Ace 3rd Betterforeveryone
