If this was on the Flat, Brentford Hope would be expected to outclass his rivals. He was last seen finishing fifth in the Rose Of Lancaster at Haydock in August, but is yet to win beyond a mile and a quarter and may have stamina questions to answer for now. Western Zephyr could go well having won a point-to-point and a NH Flat race prior to coming up short in Grade 2 company at Aintree, but EARTH CRY has done nothing wrong with bumper wins here and at Market Rasen and if he takes to hurdles, he could put his race fitness to good use.
Prediction : 1st Earth Cry 2nd Brentford Hope 3rd Western Zephyr

Jean Genie deserves to get a win on the board after coming home second on his last four starts and only being beaten a head at Ffos Las last month. He has been put back up 3lb for that, and may have to settle for another place if BORN AT MIDNIGHT runs his race. Bill Turner's seven-year-old returned from a year off with a decisive win at Taunton and if he improves for that, another 5lb may not be enough to stop him. Airtothethrone is interesting on his debut over fences and is worth noting for future reference.
Prediction : 1st Born At Midnight 2nd Jean Genie 3rd Airtothethrone

Farmer's Gamble looked outpaced from the start over 2m at Lingfield on his return, but that comes as no surprise considering his last success was over 3m at Perth in April. He could do a lot better returned to this trip and in this company, but FANTOMAS is preferred as he returns to hurdles after a win and a last-of-three over fences. Langley Hundred stayed on strongly to hold on over a furlong shorter at Exeter and may be even happier over this distance and beyond.
Prediction : 1st Fantomas 2nd Farmers Gamble 3rd Langley Hundred

Court Royale scored at Ffos Las last month and merits respect once again, although a 3lb rise will make his life tougher. With that in mind, preference is for ONLY MONEY, whose winning run came to an end at Aintree recently but he was not disgraced on that occasion. This race doesn't appear to be as strong as that contest and he can bounce back to winning ways. Others to note are Sir Tivo and Ridgeway.
Prediction : 1st Only Money 2nd Court Royale 3rd Sir Tivo

The unexposed GLANCE AT ME put in a career best when a close second on her handicap debut at Huntingdon recently. The daughter of Passing Glance pulled 14 lengths clear of the third on that occasion, which suggests that a 4lb rise in the ratings may prove to be lenient. Emorelle also hit the crossbar on her most recent start and she edges out Fenney Brook and Fine By Her to be the pick of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Glance At Me 2nd Emorelle 3rd Fenney Brook

SEA THE CLOUDS found only one too good in his bid for a hat-trick at Hereford late last month, but the first-time switch to handicaps should only help the Jamie Snowden-trained five-year-old and he is arguably the one to beat in this. That said, the recent Exeter scorer Gerard Mentor should not be underestimated, and Henri Le Bon is another who is likely to go well.
Prediction : 1st Sea The Clouds 2nd Gerard Mentor 3rd Henri Le Bon
