The money is coming for WHODINI this morning and it is easy to see why. This £60,000 purchase shaped with promise on debut when beaten five lengths behind Ukantango in a bumper at Stratford back in March. He improved on that when a close third at Market Rasen and put away since looked to need the run when fourth on hurdles debut at Hereford last month. I expect him to tighten up plenty from that and if he builds on it he may well open his account here.

Happywifehappylife failed to shine when down the field at Wexford but should be fitter as well so might be the danger. Yukon sprung a 50/1 surprise winning on debut over hurdles over C&D seven weeks ago but he didn’t beat much and this will definitely be tougher under a penalty. Legendary Day makes his debut but is unwanted in the betting which is usually significant in these colours.

15:35 Southwell

Ben Pauling continues in terrific form and he has another good chance of a winner at Southwell on Tuesday. APPLE ROCK has won fresh before and ran a very solid race going down just a length at Uttoxeter on final start last season. He is back down to a mark of 108 now and I think connections have found a good opportunity for him to get his head back in front.

Lelantos will put good pace to the race and I expect Luca Morgan to give him a patient ride off the pace before looking to cut through the field in the closing stages. If Lelantos is given an easy time of things he will be the danger but Lighthouse Mill is interesting having gone down less than two lengths at Uttoxeter last time. Release The Kraken was well backed on chase debut at Fakenham a week ago but unseated his rider and comes back hurdling now with something to prove.
