I often think it is quite significant when Harry Cobden picks up a spare ride as he has said himself in the past that he doesn’t ride no hopers. KAY’S LIGHT is very interesting at Hereford on Wednesday. This mare fell on debut at Newton Abbot but has shaped promisingly in two runs since. She was held up on reappearance but stayed on well when the race was over and again built on that to finish fourth at Chepstow last time. She goes back up in trip on handicap debut and I think we’ll see an improved performance. 11/1 at the time of writing seems generous and I can see her going off a fair bit shorter. Last Of A Legend got her head in front at Bangor back in the summer and she looks the danger as she remains unexposed now handicapping. Corey’s Courage failed to shine at Perth but is another one to note if she manages to bounce back here.
