GYTO Tuesday Notebook Double pays 10/1.
With 2 wins from 4 starts BORGI is starting to look progressive now. He beat a good yardstick in Richard R H B to make a winning handicap debut at Wolverhampton last time and up just 4lb it is hard to see how he doesn’t go close here. The step up to a mile and a quarter for the first time is sure to suit and he is comfortably the most likely winner of this so 2/1 looks on the generous side if anything. Adam Farragher has been booked for the ride and claims a handy 3lb off his back so that largely negates the rise as well. Dinoo impressed winning by a short head at Wolverhampton on penultimate start and was nearest finish when third over C&D last time. He likely has more to come so is the danger but he has already been gelded unlike the selection which limits his potential somewhat. Baby Steps arrives in winning form but this is tougher so he’ll likely need to better that again to win this.
Biowavego impressed winning at Worcester last month and has won 2 of his last 3 now but a further 4lb rise asks a bit more of him and he might struggle to contain SNIPE. This son of Soldier Of Fortune goes up in trip for handicap debut and has some eye-catching form to his name which could suggest he is well handicapped off a mark of 113. He was beaten just 5 lengths by Itso Fury at Ludlow and that has worked out well since with the winner bumping into Irish Hill in what looked a good race at Taunton last week. He looks the improver lurking in the field and so the 11/4 may well be worth snapping up. Of the rest Sporting Ace bumped into Outlaw Peter at Exeter and pitched into handicap company now should run a nice race as he still has potential to do better. Jen’s Boy was awarded the race at Newton Abbot but was held again last time and needs to find more off the bridle.
