PIECEDERESISTANCE, who won over 1m2f at Pontefract on the Flat, has also shown ability in this discipline and could be hard to beat if he can build on what was a promising third at Newcastle last month. Bertie's Wish has a similar profile and may also find improvement now he's had the benefit of a previous run over hurdles to draw on. Hermes Le Gris may appreciate the drop in trip and is also considered.
Prediction : 1st Piecederesistance 2nd Berties Wish 3rd Hermes Le Gris

Donald McCain is operating with a healthy strike-rate at present and the Cheshire-based trainer has a strong chance with the lightly-raced MINELLADESTINATION. The five-year-old ran well on her only other previous visit to this course and can be expected to be primed for her return to action. East End Girl has adapted well to hurdling and rates as a key player, while Betty Baloo has shown consistency and is also likely to be thereabouts.
Prediction : 1st Minelladestination 2nd East End Girl 3rd Betty Baloo

PATIENT DREAM has shown ability over hurdles and it would come as no surprise to see him make a winning start for his new yard. The trip and ground can be expected to suit, while he's also got prior C&D experience. Strong Team is dangerous to underestimate and is respected after a second over timber at Newcastle last month. Monjules, a previous C&D winner, is another to monitor closely in the betting.
Prediction : 1st Patient Dream 2nd Strong Team 3rd Monjules

Sam and Jonathan England teamed up to win this race last year and appear to have solid claims this time around in the shape of ELLEON. He ran well enough on his first start since moving from Warren Greatrex when third a fortnight ago and that run looks sure to have put him spot on for this. Kildrum is another entitled to strip fitter after his respectable effort at Hexham last month and will appreciate this slightly sounder surface. Previous C&D winner Skyhill is also worthy of consideration.
Prediction : 1st Elleon 2nd Kildrum 3rd Skyhill

ATTENTION ALL won with any amount in hand when bolting up at Newcastle last month and, although a 7lb penalty is sure make life tougher, the manner of his victory suggested he may well be up to the task ahead. The David Pipe-trained Jet Smart finished fifth on his Rules debut at Ascot a fortnight ago and looks sure to improve for that experience. Decorated has finished second on two of his three starts over hurdles and appears to have been crying out for this step up in trip.
Prediction : 1st Attention All 2nd Jet Smart 3rd Decorated

BARON DE MIDLETON recorded an emphatic win on his latest outing at Newcastle and, despite having to shoulder a 7lb penalty for that win, Ben Bromley knocks off the same amount with his claim, so Brian Ellison's inmate appears quite well treated for this contest. Hidden Commander has dropped 2lb following a distant third last time out and is feared most ahead of Ashjan.
Prediction : 1st Baron De Midleton 2nd Hidden Commander 3rd Ashjan

Judicial Review took a big step forward when finishing a close second in a point-to-point in May and merits a lot of respect on his Rules debut, but BOOMSLANG showed promise when keeping on for third over a fractionally shorter trip last month. He can improve with that run in mind, while Longagoanfarbehind also merits consideration sporting a hood for his racecourse bow.
Prediction : 1st Boomslang 2nd Judicial Review 3rd Longagoanfarbehind
