This is unlikely to take a great deal of winning so it should pay to stick with an in-form horse and SUGAR BABY is just that. He has won 3 times this year already and very nearly made it 4 missing by just a short head over C&D last month. Another stride and he might have got up so that was a big run in defeat. That was a Class 5 and this is a Class 6 so coming up against slightly easier company should see him salute the judge once more. He is up 2lb but looks hard to get away from in such a winnable race. Kraken Power was a good third here last time and also ran well when second to One More Dream before that but the issue with him is he is on a 28 run losing sequence. Gowanbuster has won over track and trip in the past and he has had a wind op since last seen. He has won fresh before too so might be the biggest danger.

Things didn’t go to plan for MANAAFITH back on turf at Newmarket when last seen but she had previously won all three starts on the AW and was particularly impressive over this trip at Kempton back in September. She still has potential off her current mark and it would be no surprise to see her resume her progress now having been given time after that latest disappointment. Shining Al Danah opened her account at Yarmouth and followed up at Newcastle making all the running.

She weakened close home at Wolverhampton last month though and has a bit to prove off the back of that. Jilly Cooper might end up emerging as a bigger threat as she likes this C&D and while she finished fifth at Chelmsford at the start of this month she was only beaten two lengths. Farhh To Shy could be value to hit the frame if getting away on terms.
