Jacks Profit will probably be popular here after winning well at Kempton last month despite pulling hard but he isn’t always the most reliable and so LEDNIKOV rates a better proposition. He actually finished second here last time but was awarded the race in the stewards room. That form has been franked since with the disqualified Amourie winning next time out and the third Prince Abu also going in. A 4lb rise is more than manageable and I think he should take the beating.
Franco Grasso ran well in quite a good race at Kempton last month and if building on that could be best of the rest. Golden Dove hasn’t shaped badly the last twice and is another one that could have a squeak if finding further improvement. She might go forward though and there is potential for her and Jacks Profit to get racing too soon.

I know SICARIO is on a long losing run but this is desperately weak and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t go close. He was back to form when right in the mix over a mile and a half here last time and if he reacts well to a first-time visor then he could take the beating. He likes this track with overall form figures of 234223 so in a race lacking any strength in depth his claims look pretty obvious.
Hidden Pearl finally opened her account at Bath back in the summer and in fairness has held her form well in defeat since. She was fourth behind Victory March over track and trip last month and if building on that could be the danger. She is more of a place bet though on the balance of her form. Just Percy ran quite well when second at Lingfield last time but was beaten 5 and a half lengths so still needs more here.
