Another competitive race but the unexposed quantity of HIYA MAITE catches the eye. He took a nice step forward to win on return at Newcastle and then backed that up with a very solid third over track and trip last week. That race was won by stablemate Jeans Maite who had it all go her own way off the front end which may have always been the plan. The second Never Dark is a decent yardstick so the form should hold up especially at this grade. He should have more to come off a mark of just 70 and 4/1 looks a fair price. Man On A Mission won at Lingfield on penultimate start and then only missed narrowly at Chelmsford. His form isn’t great at this track though so that was enough to sway me towards the selection. Miss Belladonna clocked a career best to win at Chelmsford last time and she is another one that could be in their pitching for a long way.
