Following two winners yesterday, Steve Ryder is back with three tips for today's action.
13:55 Lingfield
The Stan Moore trained RUITH LE TU (best priced at 3/1) finished ahead of the reopposing Mcqueen last time over this course and distance and should be able to confirm that form from a better draw. The three-year-old was a previous course and distance winner in April off a mark of 55 before struggling off higher marks since.
Ruith Le Tu finished a neck 2nd in first time blinkers over this course and distance a week ago which can be upgraded as he was drawn wide in Stall 10. He is much better drawn today in Stall 3 and actually runs here 1lb well in at the weights having been raised 1lb by the handicapper for that performance. Taylor Fisher rode him well last time and retains the ride claiming 5lbs and I expect him to prove hard to beat.
14:45 Dundalk
The Adrian Murray trained MAGNANIMOUS MEHMUS (best priced at 10/3) was well backed overnight for his handicap debut and it is clear to see why he has been supported. The son of Mehmas had run with credit on his three starts in maidens on turf and has been given an opening handicap mark of 70.
Magnanimous Mehmus has been gelded since his previous run in September and is now interesting making his handicap debut on the AW. Seamie Heffernan rode a treble at Dundalk on Friday including Sand Castle for this stable and I am hoping Magnanimous Mehmus can make a winning handicap debut.
16:15 Dundalk
This looks a competitive 47-65 handicap but preference goes to CHEERS AGAIN (best priced at 8/1) who failed to land a gamble last time on his handicap debut. The three-year-old had previously shown very little in three turf maidens when sent off 100/1, 200/1 and 200/1 before being well supported into 5/2 joint favourite for this handicap debut off an opening mark of 51.
Cheers Again showed improvement last time on his handicap debut and he now looks overpriced on his AW debut off a 4lb lower mark. Rory Cleary takes over from Luke McAteer and he should run well with up to five places on offer.
