FOUND A FIFTY probably paid the price for running a bit freely on his 'track' debut in a bumper here last month when flattening out late on to finish second to Summer Melody. He was an easy winner on his sole point-to-point outing and looks to have found a nice opportunity to get off the mark here first time over timber. Willie Mullins saddles Houlanbatordechais who was highly tried on both his starts for the yard last season. He won a couple of bumpers in France and was thrown in at the deep end at Cheltenham on his first outing for the champion trainer. He obviously shows a bit at home and has to be respected on his jumps debut. Lets Go Champ has presumably had his issues as he makes his first outing since taking a point-to-point at Bartlemy in May 2019. He cost 375,000 pounds after that success and connections will be hoping he can make up for lost time.

MADMANSGAME kept good company after winning his bumper here in February and is a nice type to go jumping with now. The Blue Bresil gelding wasn't disgraced when mid-division in the Cheltenham bumper before finishing fifth behind star stablemate Facile Vega at Punchestown. He already has jumping experience having won a point-to-point. Search For Glory has a recent win under his belt, in a point-to-point bumper at Fairyhouse last month, and looks an obvious danger. He is also a winner 'between the flags'. Tag Man has already had a spin over hurdles, when fourth to Ashroe Diamond at Naas last month, and if he progresses from that he's entitled to play a big part.

This looks a cracking little race and the mare DEEPLY SUPERFICIAL may prove the pick getting weight off the geldings. She made a big impression when scoring on her 'track' debut at Galway in late October. That came over two miles and she was better the further she went then so stepping up half a mile here looks like it can only help. Three Card Brag was a staying on third in Grade 3 company over two miles here last month and this step up in trip also looks like it should suit now. He sets the standard that the others have to match. The third of the Elliott runners, Absolute Notions, was game to battle back and score well at Punchestown last month but he looks like he would benefit from even further than this. Inthepocket is another unbeaten runner in the field and he commands plenty of respect. This is a big step up from winning a Wexford maiden hurdle but he showed some real gears when scoring down in the south east in late October.

JUNGLE PROSE goes from strength to strength and may be able to strike again. He won well over two-miles-six here three weeks ago and stays really well so may be actually better suited by stepping back up to this marathon trip. The mare Ballyshannon Rose looks on a nice mark over timber and Cian Cullinan takes off a useful 7lb as well. She ran well over timber on her penultimate start when chasing home French Dynamite at Thurles and could be a big player here now. Grand National runner-up Any Second Now is another who is nicely treated over hurdles compared to his chase mark and it will be interesting to see how he fares on his return to action.

Not the strongest looking contest for the venue and ARCTIC AMBITION can gain compensation here after meeting with misfortune at Tramore 12 days ago. He had won off a mark of 96 over fences at Thurles late last month and was travelling well when trying to exploit his lower rating over timber last time before getting hampered and unseating three from home. He remains on that same mark of 86 which is now 19lb lower than his chase rating. Makfils ran well when third at Cork on his first start for Peter Fahey and he looked like he would appreciate going a bit further then. Champ Royal was a decent fourth on his return at Gowran late last month and with that run under his belt he should be involved for prize money again.

HA D'OR had some very smart form over hurdles and this looks a nice race for him on his chase debut, getting a few pounds off the winners in the field. The French-bred was just nabbed close home by Flame Bearer in Grade 2 company at Fairyhouse back in April and just scrapes in here off his hurdles mark of 139. Marvel De Cerisy was good when scoring at Punchestown late last month and looks an obvious danger. Hallowed Star has a mark of 137 over fences and would be a big player if he could bounce back after his fall at Punchestown last month. He was never really travelling before his exit then in Grade 2 company and is better than that having been an impressive winner at Galway previously.

Gavin Cromwell has a couple in this with live chances. SWEET WILL is now rated 11lb lower over fences after his two recent successes over timber and it looks an obvious move to switch back to the larger obstacles. He comes here in fine form after victories at Fairyhouse and Cheltenham and Kieren Buckley has been getting a good tune out of him. Stablemate Routine Excellence is also rated a few pounds lower over fences now and ran well over hurdles here last time when chasing home Maxxum. Walking The Walk gained an overdue 'track' success when scoring at Tramore 12 days ago and has to be respected but a 9lb rise makes life a bit tougher now.

This race has a star studded roll of honour and Gordon Elliott has won six of the last seven runnings. CALDWELL POTTER looks the stable choice this year and gets the vote after an impressive victory at Punchestown last month. The Martaline gelding was well fancied for the Land Rover bumper last season but could only finish eighth. He is reported to be a stronger horse this year and looked very good last time. Stablemate Cato Capone got his bumper in the stewards' room at Punchestown last month but that looked a strong contest and he is respected as well. Willie Mullins relies on Special Cadeau, who makes his debut for the yard. The Nathaniel gelding won a bumper in Huntingdon for Pam Sly before being bought for 220,000 pounds and it will be interesting to see how he fares.
