The way THREE CARD BRAG finished at Navan last time really was quite impressive and another few yards and he may well have won that race. He steps up to 2 and a half miles here for the first time and looks certain to improve. Now this could be a good race so he will need to step forward but I’m keen to keep him on side after what I saw last time. Henry de Bromhead saddles Inthepocket who cost nearly £300,000 after winning his sole point. He made a bright start winning a novice hurdle at Wexford by 6 lengths and looks the danger. Like the selection he should enjoy going up in trip here. Absolute Notions won a bumper back in April and then reappeared with a promising win on hurdles debut at Punchestown last month so is another horse in here with a bright future. Deeply Superficial is also worth noting as he swerved Punchestown yesterday to come here.

The money came for TOUCHY FEELY on hurdles debut at Doncaster last month and she certainly didn’t disappoint. The eventual second La Gomera had the rail advantage but she really stayed on strongly and forged her way to the front. She was always doing enough in the closing stages and should improve plenty from that initial experience. A big field here but not masses amount of quality on show so all in all it looks a decent opportunity to follow up. Royale Dance chased home Ukantango in a bumper at Stratford and then improved to make a winning hurdles debut herself at Hexham last time. She has to prove herself up in trip here but it should suit so she is definitely the danger. La Gomera was held by the selection last time so has ground to make up. Shelikesthelights disappointed at Fontwell but is likely better than that so not entirely ruled out either.
