13:28 Wincanton

I’ve always thought SIZABLE SAM has been capable of better and especially over fences. He disappointed on chase debut at Ascot last year and then pulled up at Chepstow. Back over hurdles they got his career back on track winning at Wincanton. He was beaten a couple of times after that but not disgraced and then switched back over the larger obstacles it was good to see him run such a big race in defeat at Exeter. He only went down a neck having rallied bravely at the finish. He looks like he wants a proper test now so this track and trip should prove ideal. He is up 3lb but I’ll be amazed if he can’t make an impact off a mark of 127 and even at 9/2 I think there is good value in his price. He will likely go off the front and if he gets into a nice rhythm his odds will tumble in-running. Step Back is another pace angle and could run a big race as long as they don’t go too hard. Great D’Ange jumped well when winning at Huntingdon and is also feared.
