Chelsea vs Bournemouth – Chelsea & over 2.5 goals

Graham Potter will be hoping that the winter break will allow him to stamp his philosophy on his Chelsea team. The former Brighton manager has struggled since his arrival at Stamford Bridge and has constantly changed formations, personnel, and tactics but with a winter break enforced by the World Cup, it could be the catalyst to give the players time to understand his system.

Bournemouth will be happy with their return to life in the Premier League having picked up 16 points from their first 15 games but know that a lot more will be required from them if they want to stay up. The Cherries have seen over 2.5 goals in their last three league games and ended up losing two of those games.

With a lot of Chelsea players returning from the World Cup fairly early, we are taking a chance that Potter has had enough time to implement his style and they should have enough quality to beat Bournemouth who themselves can grab a goal.

Reading vs Swansea – Over 2.5 goals

After many feared the worst for Paul Ince’s Reading at the start of the season they currently sit in the top half of the table at the time of writing and look set to stay in the league. They take on a Swansea side who have drawn as many games as they have won but the games they have drawn have been high-scoring affairs with their last league game being a 3-3 draw with Coventry City.

Reading have seen over 2.5 goals in three of their last five games, whilst Swansea has also seen over 2.5 goals in three of their last five games. Both sides have the ability to score and concede goals so we expect a high-scoring affair and are going with the over 2.5 goals market.

Manchester United vs Nottingham Forest – Manchester United to win to nil

Steve Cooper’s Nottingham Forest showed signs of life before the winter break with his men winning two games, drawing one and losing one to current league leaders Arsenal. They won in the EFL Cup last time out demolishing Blackburn 4-1. Cooper’s men have conceded the second-highest amount of goals in the league with 30.

Manchester United will be happy with the improvement around the club with the side going from strength to strength under Ten Hag. They put in a clinical display against Burnley in their 2-0 victory in the EFL Cup and although they will be missing World Cup winner Lisandro Martinez in their backline against Nottingham Forest they should still have enough quality in defence to stop Forest.

Forest will face a tough task when they go to Old Trafford and we feel that United will have to much quality all around the park to really get hurt, so we are suggesting a Manchester United win to nil.
