The hat-trick seeking THE IMPOSTER looks a horse worth keeping on side at Wetherby on Tuesday. He shaped as though he needed the run when third on return at Ffos Las and duly improved to open his account at Lingfield last month. He stayed on well that day so it was no surprise to see them move up in trip last week where he was really impressive winning by 13 lengths. He goes up to three miles for the first time here and is thoroughly unexposed so despite his big weight could win again.

Great Raffles won here and at Sedgefield to cap off last season and went down just a nose on reappearance at Newcastle. He is clearly still in great form and looks the biggest danger to the selection. Heritier De Sivola finally opened his account at Kelso at the start of the month and the way he jumped the last he seemed to have more left so he is also respected.

Dan and Harry Skelton remain in top form and they have a good chance of another winner on Tuesday in the shape of GET A TONIC in the mares race. This 6yo was progressive last season winning 3 times and I thought she ran a really big race in defeat when second to Botox Has on return at Haydock last month. She knuckled down well for pressure and kept trying all the way to the line which I thought was really likeable.

The form has been franked since with the fifth Complete Unknown winning nicely at Ffos Las last week. She is up 4lb but this track will suit and I think she can carry top weight to victory here. Whitehotchillifili ran well when third at Sandown on return and while I can see her going well for a long way here I think she’ll be vulnerable in the closing stages. Coquelicot might pose a greater threat but a further 5lb rise demands more.
