Bellaney Gem has won off higher marks in the past and sports a first-timer visor here as she aims to get back to her best. She could go well if the headgear has the desired affect, while Fox Le Bel may prove popular in the betting, though his best recent form is over further than this. A chance is taken on C&D winner PRESENTING MEGHAN, who drops back in trip on her second start for new connections after weakening late on at Navan, and could do better for it off 3lb lower in the handicap.

An impressive winner at Ascot when last seen in March, CHAVEZ looks to have been found an ideal opportunity on his first start for the powerful Willie Mullins stable. The unexposed six-year-old may have too much for Salmanino, who is a key player on the back of a strong runner-up effort at Cork on his second chase start last month. Of the other newcomers to this sphere, Innovated and Pats Choice look capable of being in the shake-up.

WALKING THE WALK came good at the fourth time of asking for Gordon Elliott, with the first-time blinkers doing the trick at Tramore. A 9lb hike in the ratings will make his life tougher, but there could be more to come. The lightly-raced Know The Game could go well if seeing out this longer distance and may prove the chief threat to the selection. Fellow last-time-out winner Highstreetfashion, Zagnzig and chase debutant Glenmalure Lodge are others to note.

Vaucelet merits the utmost respect having chased home Billaway in the Champion Hunters Chase at Punchestown in April, but preference is for THE STORYTELLER. Gordon Elliott's gelding was a Grade 1 winner over this course and distance two years ago and his recent form between the flags has been very encouraging. Brain Power is another who is likely to go well, while Singing Banjo and Snow Falcon complete the shortlist.

FAULTY ran with plenty of promise when runner-up to a leading fancy for the Champion Bumper here last month and he wouldn't need to improve much on that display to go one better. Attaboyarchie has stepped forward considerably on his last couple of starts and his recent second at Fairyhouse gives him every chance of being in the mix. Lucky Lyreen is capable of better following his fourth here in May, while others for the shortlist include Boldog and Onehellofagetaway.
