This can go the way of GIVEGA, who could not have won any easier at Lingfield on his Rules debut and a 7lb penalty might not be enough to prevent him going in again at a track where his stable does particularly well. Rambo T offered plenty of encouragement when third at Ascot on his hurdling bow, and the form of that race has worked out well so he looks to be the main danger. Hunting Brook and Proper Twelve cannot be ruled out either.
Prediction : 1st Givega 2nd Rambo T 3rd Hunting Brook

GOOD NEWS has been something of a winning machine over the past year, including when triumphing over C&D in June, and there is every reason to suggest that a sixth victory in seven starts could be in the offing for the 10-year-old. Paricolor produced a strong runner-up effort at Chepstow and he must enter calculations along with Beaufort West, who is a player after a couple of Plumpton placings. The unexposed Prince Des Fichaux is another to note, as is Martha Brae.
Prediction : 1st Good News 2nd Paricolor 3rd Prince Des Fichaux

HIDOR DE BERSY was no match for a progressive rival on his chasing debut at Wetherby but he emerged with plenty of credit and with improvement expected, Tom Symonds' five-year-old looks set to go one better. In contrast, Rose Sea Has brings plenty of experience to the table and he is likely to make it a test from the front. Great Ocean is another open to improvement on just his second start over the larger obstacles.
Prediction : 1st Hidor De Bersy 2nd Rose Sea Has 3rd Great Ocean

TEDDY BLUE won over C&D a couple of starts ago and was far from disgraced in third when sent off joint-favourite for the Gerry Feilden at Newbury. Off a 1lb lower mark now, the Gary Moore-trained four-year-old should be hard to beat now eased in grade. The progressive Dream In The Park is an obvious threat to the selection, while Ray's The One completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Teddy Blue 2nd Dream In The Park 3rd Rays The One

AVILES has filled second place twice over C&D in recent months and this appears to be an ideal opportunity for Gary Moore's juvenile to go one better. Polyphonic had to settle for third on his hurdling debut at Leicester, but he is rated 80 on the level and should step forward. Master Australia showed little on his only start on the Flat but he should not be underestimated on his hurdling bow.
Prediction : 1st Aviles 2nd Polyphonic 3rd Master Australia

BORN AT MIDNIGHT had something up his sleeve when keeping on to win by four and a half lengths at Wincanton earlier this month and a 6lb raised mark does not look set to stop him from following up, even though he loses Harry Kimber's claim. Jeffery's Cross has filled the runner-up spot on each of his three outings since a Warwick maiden hurdle success and commands respect in first-time cheekpieces. Coolvalla is back up in trip as he goes in search of the hat-trick.
Prediction : 1st Born At Midnight 2nd Jefferys Cross 3rd Coolvalla

A 2lb lower mark following a solid second at Ludlow could be enough for MA BELLE NOIRE to shed her maiden tag, especially as Lorcan Murtagh knocks off an additional 3lb with his claim. Harry Fry's mare appears progressive and that last run left the impression more would be to come. Walkinthewoods found only one too strong when attempting to supplement a Chepstow success at Hereford, while Optimistic Belief completes the shortlist having filled the runner-up spot on his return to timber.
Prediction : 1st Ma Belle Noire 2nd Walkinthewoods 3rd Optimistic Belief
