I have this between the top two in the market and OLD PAINLESS should be clear favourite for me following that 14-length romp at Plumpton nine days ago. I know only six fences were jumped due to the low sun so this will be more of a test but it was hard not to be impressed with how he travelled throughout and turned out quickly under a penalty he is going to be hard to beat. He has untapped potential as a chaser and handled the testing ground well last time so conditions should be ideal.

Bill Baxter is the threat after getting back to winning ways at Lingfield last month. That was his first start following a wind op so up another 5lb I expect him to give a good account again going further up in trip. Ned Tanner showed a good attitude to prevail here last time and also has to be respected but this is definitely tougher. Brayhill has also been in good form so has a squeak but this seems to have more strength in depth.
