A fair bit of potential lining up for this but THE X O has looked promising himself so he might be worth chancing at a price. This colt was an expensive breeze-up purchase and I thought he was tenderly handled when runner-up on debut back in May last year. He pulled clear with the winner who made all but was given an easy time of things in the closing stages. He again bumped into one on return when second to Demi Pointe at Chelmsford. He was quite keen that day but the winner looks a nice filly for Roger Varian so the form should work out in time. He will strip fitter from that run too and with further improvement to come looks a danger to all in here. Harry Magnus continued his race-by-race progress to get within a length of victory at Wolverhampton last month and will be the danger if stepping forward again. Danger Alert has proved expensive to follow but with blinkers on here also deserves plenty of respect.
