Even up another 4lb COME TO PASS might prove hard to beat as he bids to bring up a hat-trick of wins. He is a perfect two-from-two over C&D having finally got his head in front here back in November and then backed that up with a convincing win last month staying on strongly through the line. He remains open to further improvement and I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t go off clear favourite. Luke Morris gets the leg up and I can see him being suited by this horse as he seems to find plenty at the business end of his races.

Villalobos has won two of his last four now and showed a good attitude to prevail from another in-form horse at Chelmsford so has to be feared here having also gone well over C&D on penultimate start. Persian Wolf beat subsequent winner Bascinet at Chelmsford before finishing third to the selection last time and is another to note.

With rain forecast tomorrow by the time this race is run the ground could be really cut up and that should suit the Venetia Williams-trained DJELO. This five-year-old made a really promising start winning head in chest at Exeter on debut over hurdles and probably found that Haydock run coming too soon when ultimately disappointing in second. He is better than what he showed the last day and freshened up since I think he can resume his progress here for an in-form stable.

Lightly Squeezed won readily at Kempton when last seen and if getting a good pace to aim at will be the biggest danger to the selection. Iceo looked good winning in testing ground in France and backed that up winning impressively on these shores at Kempton over a year ago. He was beaten twice after that though and has a bit to prove returning from 10 months off the track.
