There has been a bit of a gamble on Fia Fuinidh this morning but he needs to improve so with Kilbrainy now a non runner I’m going to take a chance on HASHTAG LORD. James Ewart won this last year and he may well have targeted it again with this son of Coastal Path. I did think he lacked a bit of a gear change when third at Newcastle but this test should suit him better and the winner of that race Crebilly ran big in defeat yesterday so the form does have a solid enough look to it. I think the pair mentioned will fight this one out and hopefully the selection is staying on best in the testing ground. Agilulf has been a drifter this morning but he certainly isn’t out of this on form as he didn’t shape badly last time and should have more to offer in handicaps too. Eden Mill has disappointed on two starts this season but it does still remain early days.

Experience is expected to count for plenty here so HELLO QUEEN gets a confident vote to come out on top. This filly by Acclamation had a fair bit go wrong on debut given she needed to be woken up early and was hampered slightly. She did stick to the task though and kept on well in the closing stages. With that under her belt I expect her to be much more streetwise now and she might prove a cut above this field. Medici Chapel was an eye-catcher going close at Southwell on penultimate start but didn’t really build on that when well backed at Lingfield last time. Obviously still early days so she could have more to come and is more than likely the biggest danger to the selection. Sparkling Spirit was sent off a big price on debut before finishing fifth at Chelmsford. She will do better but might just need more time and experience.
