After winning 6 times in 2021 you only have to look at the prices GUNNERSIDE was sent off last year to see how out of form he was. The good news is he finally showed something when running on at the finish on final start at Wolverhampton. He has been freshened up since and now looks dangerously well handicapped off a mark of just 60. He won first-time out a couple of years ago and could be decent value at around 9/2 at the time of writing. Hit Mac is the obvious danger having knocked on the door again at Lingfield last time. He has now finished runner-up on his last 3 starts and 4 of his last 5 though so has become a bit expensive to follow. The other one to note is Ramdon Rocks who only missed a head at Newcastle last time and if it wasn’t for his stable form would likely be vying for favouritism in this. Mehmo is capable too but can be hard to catch right.
