I’m pleasantly surprised to see GIORGIO VASARI as big as 9/2 at Chelmsford on Thursday as I expected him to be shorter. I thought he shaped better than the final result when a close-up third at Wolverhampton last week and just 3lb higher here if things pan out more favourably he looks sure to go close. Joey Haynes rode him to success on reappearance and gets the leg back up so that coupled with the drop back down to a mile should see him return to the winners enclosure.

Ivan Furtado also has Crazy Spin in the field and that mare should push forward and go a real good gallop which will suit her stablemate down to the ground. Asdaa does look the danger with recent form figures of 112 but I certainly wouldn’t have that much difference between them in the betting. He carries a penalty here so it won’t be easy. Mabre won at Kempton last time and that was a decent effort but he also has to carry a penalty as a result.
