The unexposed IROKO can go in again now the penny has dropped. He stayed on strongly to open his account over C&D when last seen back in November and with the front pair nicely clear that looked a good performance. He is up 7lb but deservedly so and if he improves again he should be able to follow up. There is plenty of pace on with the likes of Rafferty’s Return and Captain Zebo going forward so I expect Kevin Brogan to get him nicely settled off the pace.
The horse that finished second to him last time Foster’sisland may well be the biggest danger again as he bounced back from a poor run at Aintree to go down just a head last time and remains in decent heart. Eternally Yours showed a good attitude to win at Ayr on penultimate start before taking a tumble last time. She was held when coming down but if bouncing back should at least get competitive here.

I loved the way DEERE MARK travelled into it before always doing enough to get himself back in the winners enclosure at Hereford last month. He looked firmly in command until the second Gaelic Park rallied bravely up the run-in but comfortably held him at the line so was value for more than the winning distance in my book. The third was seven lengths back at the field was strung out so it was a promising win. He goes handicapping off a mark of 119 now and that could turn out to be lenient.
Head Law brought up a hat-trick of wins impressively at Southwell back in April but struggled in a very good race on final start at Sandown. He could be the danger if fit and ready to roll on his reappearance here. Kaleb made a winning return at Fakenham before finishing behind Tamuras at Haydock. Freshened up he is another one that could get competitive in this race.
