MADS BLACK EIGHTS has a poor record at this distance but is worth another try and has good recent form. She has beaten just four rivals in three previous runs at this trip but has good form over slightly shorter distances and ran well here last week. Je T'ai Porte was behind the selection last week and tries this distance for the first time while Adamaris was well held on a recent run but was ahead of the selection over course and distance in November, and will appreciate stepping back up in distance. Angles In The Sky was second in a lesser handicap over C&D recently while capable hurdler Efferknock Fizz was well held on her recent all-weather runs. John Alexander makes his handicap debut but is comfortably held by the selection on a line through Chocolat Blu, winner of his recent maiden run.

SELADOR has a wide draw in 16 but is consistent and proven at this distance and on this surface. She was beaten two heads by Rockview Consort here in November but is 10lb better off under today's 10lb claimer and while well held on a recent run, will be suited by reverting to this distance. Livia Celeste beat the selection a length in that December race but, similarly, is 10lb worse off. Rockview Consort is consistent and should run her usual race while Inchiquin Maid is held by the selection and Rockview Consort. Marvelosa and Zawahir are closely matched on a Listowel run and both need to improve.

DAPPLED LIGHT was outpaced over a mile when running well last week and despite dropping a furlong, should be much sharper following that reappearance run. All four of his half-siblings have won races and while he didn't show much in maidens, has a low rating for handicaps and today's rider claims 2lb. Pub Talk ran well over an inadequate distance last week and while stepping back up in distance should help, he concedes 23lb to the selection. Monophonic is closely matched, and 1lb better off, with Pub Talk on a November run but was well held subsequently. Doctor Grace ran well over course and distance in November, with exposed Fendi finishing third, but faces a tougher task.

BUILDING BRIDGES takes on unexposed Vee Dancer but is reliable, race-fit and suited by staying distances. A four-time winner, the selection ran well over 1m4f in November and subsequently in a Leopardstown hurdle, with his only previous Flat run at today's distance being when finishing second, on the all-weather, rated 68 in 2020. Vee Dancer won three staying hurdles in 2021 and has a light weight, under his 10lb claimer. Well supported at Killarney in October, he will be much better suited by today's extra distance but a wide draw on all-weather debut and lacks a run. Well Funded beat Make The Switch (into fourth) and Tenth Amendment (fifth) on a course and distance November run but was well held over hurdles subsequently. Mephisto finished ahead of Well Funded over 1m4f in November but was himself beaten twice subsequently, albeit over shorter distances.

HYPNOTISE ME showed progression from her first to second start and contests a lesser looking maiden than her useful December run. Out of an unraced half-sister to a Group 1 winner, she was beaten by a capable debutante winner in December, with the beaten horses being useful. Twentynine Palms is a half-sister to an American Group 1-placed horse and while beaten 1.25 lengths by Zurana on debut, should improve, with today's rider claiming 7lb. Zurana has ability and is suited by this distance and surface but is vulnerable to progressive types. Well bred Vittoria Colanna was well backed on debut but disappointed. Eye Of Envy is long absent while Lisgin is a sibling to five winners. Miss Caruso, a 50,000 pounds yearling, is a half-sister to a blacktype performer.

TABUK has recent form and steps up to a mile. He progressed from debut when finishing well in a useful maiden in November and while well held in December, bumped into a capable winner and now runs in first-time cheekpieces. News At Ten contested two smart maidens last June and while capable, makes his all-weather debut following a long absence and meets a race-fit selection. Cherokee Run showed greenness when carrying today's rival Jazz Forever right in the closing stages here last month although both face tougher tasks. Rhythm And Tyne showed promise in a useful maiden last month. Frankel-sired Flagstaff Gardens, a 160,000gns yearling, was withdrawn from a horses-in-training sale last October and debuts in a tongue-tie while Teutates is possibly best watched despite having a Derby entry, for which he isn't qualified being gelded. Mehsham was a €56,000 yearling who later failed to sell at a breeze-up sale while Signatory is a half-brother to three winners.

KUDBEGOOD does his best work over a mile and contests an ordinary race. He was well held behind an easy winner in December but nonetheless ran well finishing fourth and while 7lb lower when winning in November, today's same rider is back on board and claims his full 7lb. Hurricane Helen, another miler, has yet to win in nine all-weather starts but likes fast ground and was beaten just a nose over course and distance in December, with today's same rider claiming his full 7lb. Well Suited hasn't won for two years but is a course and distance winner with useful bits of recent form. Form Of Praise has run just once over this distance but ran well over 7f here last week.

KHATAAT is an unexposed Shadwell cast-off who runs in an ordinary handicap, for a yard doing well. Bought for 5,000gns at a horses-in-training sale in October 2021, he has seemingly been slow to come to hand but shaped with promise behind an easy winner in December and can progress. In contrast, Miracles In May is exposed but has beaten six of today's rivals in the past. He hasn't run since disappointing in October but is suited by this distance and surface and was a reserve non-runner on December 14, suggesting he will be race-fit on reappearance. Harbanaker and Phoenix Open are closely matched on two previous meetings and have useful recent runs while Profitable-filly Almonds contests her first handicap in a tongue-tie and visor, from the basement 45 rating.
