This looks between the top pair in the betting and I’m keen to side with KIM WEXLER as she deserves to get her head back in front. She has been on the go a while but continues to run well and recorded her second win of the season showing a gutsy attitude to prevail at Wolverhampton last month. She made all on that occasion and was not for passing late. She has been beaten twice since but couldn’t have done much more in defeat going down less than a length to Angle Land and then missing just a head to a good yardstick in Never Dark last time. She’s only 2lb higher here but this track suits and under likely positive tactics she might be hard to pass in the closing stages. So Grateful is the danger dropping back down to the minimum. Her run when fourth to Twilight Madness is good form and she beat the selection over track and trip back in the summer but is 2lb worse off.

When first looking at this race it had quite a trappy feel to it but as I dug deeper I do think LOGISTICAL is worth siding with against these. He was sent off at 14/1 on debut at Newmarket but was always out the back and could never really get competitive. He did some nice late work though suggesting the trip was clearly on the sharp side. He then finished last at Haydock up to a mile but was only actually beaten around 6 lengths and that wasn’t a bad race. He went unbacked up to a mile and a quarter at Lingfield but got caught wide and never really travelled with any conviction. Given time since there should be plenty more to come now tackling a mile and a half and an opening mark of just 70 could prove lenient. I think he has the most potential of these and I’ll be disappointed if he doesn’t go close. The danger is likely Autolycus who has a similar profile but has been gelded.
